"Oscar" got his barn name because he was born right in the middle of The
Oscar's! When it came time to decide on his show name, which had to start with "B", Backstage seemed to fit.
As the second Balou du Rouet son out of Ornella, he could be considered the understudy waiting backstage for his time to go
on! But, truth be told, this colt will never take a backstage to anyone! He is every bit as good as his older brother Bliss
MF and will also be kept a stallion. The two colts are equal in quality but actually quite different in type. Bliss MF is
branded Oldenburg and Backstage MF is branded Hanoverian. Both were recognized as stallion prospects by their registries.
